Probellum is delighted to announce the promotional signing of unbeaten super-bantamweight sensation Shabaz Masoud.

Highly-rated Masoud (9-0, 2 knockouts) is regarded as one of the best rising stars in boxing, and earned yet another dominant win in his last bout when he defeated Diego Alberto Ruiz via a one-sided points decision in November 2021.

It was a big step up in opponent for the Stoke-on-Trent fighter, but he passed it with flying colours, making it two wins from two in 2021 for ‘Maverick,’ after he also secured a fourth-round knockout win over former English champion Louis Norman last March.

The talented 25-year-old trains under the tutelage of Ben Davison, joining stable-mates Lee McGregor, Pat McCormack, Luke McCormack, Mark Dickinson and Will Cawley as elite members of the Probellum roster.

“I’m truly honoured to be signing with Probellum. I have been waiting for an opportunity like this for a while and now it is finally here,” said Masoud. “I truly believe that I have what it takes to go all the way to the top, and with Probellum now on board, the sky is the limit.

“I’ve learned so much over the past couple of years since teaming up with my trainer Ben Davison, and now I’m looking forward to getting active and showing exactly what I’m capable as I start to challenge for titles.”

“We’re delighted to add yet another unbeaten fighter to our ranks by welcoming Shabaz Masoud,” said Richard Schaefer, President of Probellum. “Even after only nine fights, his skills are clear to see, and we are confident that he has what it takes to achieve big things in the sport.

“Training with Ben Davison alongside some of the very best fighters will provide him with all the right tools become the very best in the world and we will ensure that Probellum helps him achieve that status every step of the way.”

Masoud becomes the latest addition to a high-quality stable which boasts a combination of exciting young stars and experienced fighters, including Nonito Donaire, Regis Prograis, Estelle Mossely, Lee McGregor, Donnie Nietes, Troy Williamson, Dina Thorslund, Muhammad Waseem, O’Shaquie Foster, Will Cawley, Mark Dickinson and Pat and Luke McCormack.
