Probellum is proud to announce it will be sponsoring the opening night of the WBA’s ‘KO Drugs’ festival in Panama.

The WBA’s programme uses fight nights to help promote its strong anti-drugs message and Probellum will lend its support to the first evening of boxing at this year’s event, now in its 37th year.

Headlining the Probellum-backed show at the Majestic Casino, in Panama City, tonight will be WBA light-flyweight champion Yesica Bopp of Argentina, who puts her belt on the line against Mexico’s Jessica Nery.

Also on the all-female card will be a contest between Clara Lescurat and Joselyn Martinez, for the WBA Fedeltin flyweight belt, in another Argentina-Mexico battle, as well as an eight round fight that will pit Panama’s Chanttall Martinez against Monica Henao of Colombia.

“We are incredibly proud to be sponsoring to the first night of this year’s WBA ‘KO Drugs’ festival,” said Richard Schaefer, President of Probellum.

“It is important that Probellum gets behind such an important cause and supports the WBA in its excellent and long-running campaign.

“We are particularly thrilled to be able to do so on the opening night, because supporting and promoting women’s boxing, in all parts of the world, is also such an important part of our mission to grow boxing.”

Earlier this week, Probellum added female boxing pioneer, and multi-weight world champion, Hanna Gabriels to its roster.

The Costa Rican fighter joins world lightweight champion Estelle Mossely and Dina Thorslund, an undefeated world bantamweight title holder., in the Probellum stable.
