Ohara Davies and Archie Sharp can set up big fights in the second half of the year with wins over international opponents in Leeds on Saturday night.
The world ranked Probellum fighters get back into the ring by boxing in 10 round contests at Elland Road this weekend, on a show topped by Jack Bateson against Diego Alberto Ruiz.
Davies has been ordered to face Spain’s Sandor Martin in an official eliminator for the WBA super lightweight title but must first see off the challenge of Abdessamad Nechchad in Leeds.
Moroccan-born Nechchad has not lost since 2018 when he pushed future European welterweight champion Jon Miquez hard over eight rounds.
Sharp, meanwhile, is the WBO’s No1 ranked contender in the super featherweight division, and he is chasing down a shot at world champion Shakur Stevenson.
The unbeaten 27-year-old hopes to move into the position of mandatory challenger later this year and is eyeing a statement victory against Romania’s Alex Rat.
This weekend’s show in Leeds is scheduled to start at 6:30pm.
