Tempers could flare as Jack Bateson and Shabaz Masoud square off tonight in a special face off that promises to get very heated.
Bateson and Masoud clash on Friday, November 11 at Probellum Sheffield in a sizzling super bantamweight showdown that boxing fans can’t wait to see.
But tonight, two weeks out from one of the most anticipated all-British fights of the year, the rivals meet in a virtual head-to-head, hosted by Sam Jones.
Bateson and Masoud are due to start the verbal sparring at 7pm BST, LIVE on the Probellum Instagram page.
The tension between the pair has been simmering since the fight was first mooted and tonight, the unbeaten adversaries see each other for the first time since Probellum confirmed the clash was happening.
Sam Jones, Head of Talent Relations at Probellum, said: “I can’t wait for this virtual head-to-head. Bateson and Masoud are just two weeks away from the biggest fight of their careers, and I expect there to be tension and needle between the pair this evening.”
This collision of top prospects acts as a final eliminator for the British super bantamweight title, but Bateson’s WBA Intercontinental belt is also on the line.
And last week, Probellum confirmed the winner of this agenda-setting scrap will also be awarded the Ali Tazeem Trophy, that has bee created to honour the memory of the brilliant young fighter, who tragically lost his life in April.
Probellum Sheffield on November 11 is headlined by Sunny Edwards’ IBF world flyweight title defence against Felix Alvarado and tickets start at just £35.
